Finding the Chalet
Take the A9 out of Lausanne towards Simplon.
Exit the A9 at the Sion Est exit and then take the right hand turn towards Val Dixence/Arolla/Evolene.
Pass the TamOil garage (the last chance to get petrol before the chalet) and head up the mountain.
After about 6km you will enter Vex.
You will pass a Spar supermarket on the right (the last chance to do a decent shop before the chalet)
Immediately after passing the school in Vex, take the right-hand turn towards Dixence/Les Collons.
As you climb out of Vex, stay on the main road (do not turn towards Thyon or Les Collons) and after about 4km you will enter Heremence.
In the centre of Heremence there is a large old & dead tree on the left hand side of the road, next to a large wooden horse trough. When you reach this old tree, take a sharp right hand turn towards Les Masses. The road is narrow and you will pass between old barns and chalets
Follow this narrow road up the hill and out of Heremence. After about 2Km you will come to a cross-road.
You can now take 2 different directions:-
If you turn right at the cross-road (following the sign to Les Masses) and go up the hill for appx’ 1.5 km you will reach Les Masses where you will find the ALM agency (www.alm.ch ), the Les Masses restaurant and the marche. You will need to collect the keys to access the chalet from the ALM office. If you require bed linen, you will also need to collect this from the ALM office
If you go straight across at the cross-road then after 1.5km you will come to Pyramides Village. Carry on past all the chalets on the roadside and take the right turn into the village, then take the lower access road and continue to the end of the road past all the garages. Access to chalet #13 in down the set of steps at the end of the lower access road.
